There are many misinformed people out there who believe that all the 'signs and wonders' mentioned in ancient texts - specially the better known chronicled in Biblical narratives - ceased about 2,000 years ago! Not so...

When we are born into this life, once we get over the sheer terror and repulsion at it on entry - did you ever hear or see or otherwise experience a baby who smiled, giggled or gave some other indication of intense pleasure on arrival - having calmed down somewhat, we perceive a world full of amazing things.
Over a period of time - another strange aspect we have to come to terms with - we come to understand that those physical manifestations such as flora and fauna that belong to what we learn to call 'the natural world' exist without any assistance from us.
The supernatural world, where it even gets a mention, is apparantly to be avoided and is embraced at our peril! Finding ourselves possessed of a necessary innate spirit of enquiry,(where's my food, warmth, shelter?) we then proceed to wonder where all this stuff that human beings haven't originated came from...
When we reach the age of such musings we may well find them accompanied by an education system that includes an agreed and usually immutable and irrefutable set of explanations whose origins are mostly true but are overlaid - if not overwhelmed - by doctrine and dogma, both religious and scientific.
Hidden amongst the need to learn to read and write and given in the same air of authoratative knowledge, this tends to negate our sense of wonder and crush further enquiry.By applying this doctrine and dogma, which seems to be inherent in all of the established organisations set up for the dissemination of their particular version, a wider knowledge of how very wonder-ful the world is, is controlled.
We are all born with what some have been pleased to call a 'sixth' sense, in addition to our generally hoped for quota of five.
This is our extra portion of perception that can enable us to see and experience the otherwise unperceivable aspects of our life on earth. Aspects that can directly link us to that Great Unknowable which provides us with the questions and the spirit to find the answers for ourselves, to life, the universe and everything. The word psychic owes its origin to the greek word for 'of the soul'. This is not how many would define it in this present age. Although we realise that the development of one's psychic ability is important, it is not generally considered to have much to do with the more exalted dimensions of spirit.
However, extra sensory perception, AKA psychic ability is accepted to be a requisite stepping stone for those who aspire to communication with that world of spirit. Modern Spiritualist thinking actually connects with the ancient premise that body, spirit and soul may be seperate. The opposite view also held sway - as that still does too - that they are not...
In any case, we know that what we now call psychic and consider to be hitched firmly to our bodies and the earth plane, is also inexorably connected to the soul and therefore ultimately to the Great Spirit, or God.
So what of those signs and wonders? Those of us who have not been kept away from our rightful heritage by dire warnings of unfortunate consequences, and who have shaken off the yoke of orthodoxy to find out the truth for ourselves, are privileged to see many such signs and wonders at work in our own lives now as they were in more ancient times..
What's more if we look in the old scriptures there are many occurrences that we can readily accept and understand to be truthful accounts according to our own knowledge and experience. If as we know the spirit world is interpenetrative and enmeshed with this one, then the psychic is indeed bound up with the spiritual, as too is our physical body.
This fact of course has been demonstrated throughout recorded history, particularly by the founders of this world's major religious belief systems.Psychic stories abound involving these most spiritual of people and in some cases their immediate followers, disciples and adherents.
Whether we choose to accept all or some of their teachings and pronouncements is a choice; similarly the views of newer denominations. After all when we were delivered here on the earth plane we brought the precious gifts of reason and free will with us.
Anyone who goes to a Spiritualist church or meeting place is sure to experience some psychic phenomena during their visit as well as receiving some spiritual upliftment.
Unlike orthodox religionists, Spiritualists don't just preach that life is eternal and that we are all spirit - part of the family of The One Spirit, but their exponents seek to prove it through communication from those departed to the spirit realms.
All this activity can only take place because unconditional love is the frequency on which such contact operates. There are mediums - the conduits for spirit communication- whose psychic abilities are such that objects move around in their presence through their spirit side operators. Tables tilt and spin in answer to questions and trumpets fly...Cracks like whiplashes resound, lights twinkle and healing entities attend to the sick and more!
That on its own should offer affirmation that there are still signs and wonders for the human race to enjoy, that we are always loved, and in becoming aware of our place in the spirit infused, multi-dimensional, psychically imbued universe, we can have a happier and more fulfilling journey on earth.
